These meetings are for Moms to come together in a fun and relaxed setting. The group will meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month for dinner and guest speakers. It's an opportunity to share resources, experiences and enjoy being with other moms of individuals with autism.
February Topic: Music, Rhythm and Auditory Processing - How music can calm the sensory system and stimulate communication.

Guest Speaker: Nanci Engle, Executive Director, Banyan Tree Educational Services
Nanci has a BS in Speech and Language, credentials in Learning Disabilities, Deaf and Hard of Hearing, General Education, and a M.Ed. in Education. She is a certified Educational Therapist, seeking to help students “who fall through the cracks.” She has been a Special Day Class Teacher, Resource Specialist, and Mentor Teacher. She is a member of the Association of Educational Therapists, Learning Disabilities Association, and International Dyslexia Association.
Nanci is passionate about helping students overcome their challenges, and to find success, confidence and resilience.
