May Topic: Preparing Your Child for Adulthood - Executive Functioning Skills.

We'll discuss:

Guest Speaker: Dr. Mary Baker-Ericzén

Dr. Mary Baker-Ericzén is both an active NIMH and foundation funded researcher and practicing clinician with 30 years of experience working with neuro-diverse individuals from youth to adults.  

Dr. Baker-Ericzén is a Research Professor at San Diego State University, Operations Director and Research Scientist at the Child and Adolescent Services Research Center (CASRC) a collaborative center of SDSU, UCSD, and Rady Children's Hospital, as well as Director and Clinical Psychologist at the Intricate Mind Institute, a community mental health clinic specializing in neurodevelopmental disorders across the lifespan.

As founder and chair of the adult ASD community-based participatory research group called ACHIEVE and member of the AASPIRE CBPR group at PSU, she works with numerous community programs promoting wellness, recovery, self-determination and self-advocacy.

Her research, funded by the U.S. National Institutes of Mental Health and foundations, focuses on improving community services (behavioral health, health and vocational) by increasing the use of evidence-based practices and measurement systems.

Dr Baker-Ericzen has developed 5 evidence-based interventions for neuro-diverse teens and adults: 1) SUCCESS vocational soft skills training program, 2) College SUCCESS educational soft skills course, 3) TAY SUCCESS program for teens and transition age youth, 4) Cognitive Behavior Intervention for Driving (CBID) for ASD and 5) Command and Control Cognitive Training an executive functioning skills program for teens.

  • Please RSVP by no later than May 19 by 4:00 pm on Eventbrite
  • On meeting day, we will send those that have RSVP'd an email with a link to join the meeting on Zoom. (Email sent by 10:00 am for early RSVPs and another at 5:00 pm.)
  • Join the meeting on Zoom at 6:30 pm. The guest speaker will start shortly.
  • All interested family members welcome!
