Autism not only affects the child but impacts parents, siblings and extended family members.  NFAR is dedicated to helping families of those with autism by connecting them with autism resources, other autism families as well as a variety of fun family activities in a welcoming environment.

Mom's Autism Groups


Calling All Moms!  Please join us for a fun night out at one of our monthly groups designed for women to connect and share in the journey of raising a child with autism. Our groups meet monthly (ex Aug, Dec and Mar), offering dinner and guests speakers in a relaxed setting. Moms, grandmothers and all women raising children with autism are welcome!

Autism Men's Group


Welcoming all Dads!  The NFAR Men’s Group was created by a father specifically for men involved in the triumphs and challenges of raising a child with autism. We invite you to join us monthly to dine and network with other men in a relaxed and comfortable environment.

NFAR’s “He & Me” Camping Trip

Annually NFAR hosts a  "He & Me" camping trip for Dads and their children.


This overnight camp provides cabin camping and cooked meals in the dining hall, while giving campers all the fun of camp with activities such as hiking, crafts, a hayride, a petting zoo, and S’mores around the campfire. Offered in a beautiful and stress-free environment close to home, the camp is designed to allow every camper with autism the opportunity to experience camp at their own pace.

NFAR hosts activities for families throughout the year, including informational workshops, and annual activities such as our NFAR Family Picnic, Halloween Carnival, and a "Dad and Me” Camping Trip.

NFAR Annual Halloween Carnival

Enjoy Halloween games, crafts, bounce houses, and trick or treating (gluten-free/casein-free options available) in a fun and comfortable environment. We’ve created an autism-friendly carnival that’s fun for children of all ages.

NFAR Family Picnic


The Autism Family Picnic offers attendees the opportunity to meet other families impacted by autism as well as enjoy a fun-filled day of family games, prizes and music – all within a welcoming and supportive environment.
