On July 16, nearly 200 gathered in Nobel Park for NFAR’s first annual Autism Family Picnic. Attendees had the opportunity to meet other families impacted by autism as well as enjoy a fun-filled day of family games, prizes and music – all within a welcoming and supportive environment.
Blue skies and sunshine greeted guests as they dined on fresh fruit and south-the-border favorites from Sombreros. The catered lunch also included many selections for those with gluten-free and casein-free diets. Featuring activities such as large-scale lawn games, bounce houses and crafts, the picnic was co-sponsored by NFAR’s Autism Men’s Group and New York Life Insurance.
