Community Programs Grant Application

Pilot Projects and Community Programs Grants provide funds to non-profit organizations for the purpose of creating or expanding programs that increase the current level of treatment services to children with autism.

Proposal topics may include pilot studies of treatments, outreach to under-served populations, research studies to improve treatment, and efficacy of treatment programs, and should strive to have an immediate impact on the needs of the San Diego community. These grants can be up to $10,000 each.

Interested parties should submit a Letter of Interest (LOI.) For this year, we are asking for LOIs in the following areas of interest:

  • Education Programs
  • Treatment Options
  • Adult Transition

Note: Research studies should have a direct service component (serving those with autism)

Application Process

Please submit a one to two page Letter of Interest. We do not use an application form. The LOI should include the following:

  1. Information about the organization's mission and activities
  2. Overview and goals of the project
  3. Project costs and breakdown
  4. Professionals involved in the project.
  5. The number of children with autism to be served.

Letters of Interes due: September 15, 2010
Invitation for detailed Grant submission: No later than Oct 12, 2010
