1) Vista Hills/Stein Education Center - Stein Center Multi-Sensory Room - Implement a Multi-Sensory Room to benefit students with autism and similar disorders at the Stein Education Center. Multi-sensory environments have been shown to reduce self-stimulation and other behavioral issues, and improve interaction and attentiveness to the environment. The Stein Educational Center provides services to more than 350 disabled children and adults annually.

2 ) Kids Included Together-San Diego (KIT) - Teaching and Modeling Respectful Accommodations for Children and Youth with Autism in Out-of-School Programs.- Develop and disseminate a training program for teaching inclusion of children with autism in after schools programs. The training program would be presented to recreation and child and youth development professionals working in out-of-school time programs in San Diego county. The programs eligible for training will be KIT affiliates and may include YMCA's, Boys & Girls Clubs, City Recreation Departments/Centers, Enrichment programs, and School-based child care programs.

3) Exceptional Family Resource Center Autism Outreach - EFRC Autism Outreach - Provide outreach to 267 pediatric health care providers to assist them in the recognition of the early warning signs of autism, and to assist families seeking referrals for assessment and services. Studies have shown that earlier recognition of the autism warning signs leads to earlier diagnosis, earlier intervention, and increasingly successful outcomes.

4) SDSU -Dept of Special Ed Autism Program - Preparing Families and Students with Autism Spectrum Disorder for Transition (from school to adult life). - Research program to obtain a greater understanding of the needs of families with children with autism preparing to transition from school to adult life, and how to increases the marketable skills of the student by incorporating the individuals interest and strengths in academic activities.

5) Graduate Research Study – SDSU - Exploring the Efficacy of Self Employment and Entrepreneurship for Individual with Autism - Self employment and micro-enterprises is an emerging vocational option that is increasing in the general population as well as individuals with disabilities.

6) Autism Society of America - San Diego Chapter - Expansion of Adaptive Swimming Lessons Program - Provides funding for 240 additional 1-on-1 adaptive swimming lessons for children with autism. Drowning is the leading cause of death of children under 14, including children with autism.
