Once considered rare, autism is the fastest growing and most common childhood disorder today. Autism is more prevalent in children that Cancer, Down Syndrome, Cystic Fibrosis and Diabetes combined. A minimum of 1 in 150 children are diagnosed with autism and it is estimated that 1% of all boys in the United States are now being diagnosed with this disorder. But there is hope. It has been proven that children with autism can learn and improve, often significantly, with the proper interventions. The earlier a child with autism starts treatment and interventions, the better the outcome for that child. For more information, please see the following: |
